A Rune With A View

A crime has been committed that's left the mundane authorities baffled. The lead investigator believes something Magical is afoot. That's where you come in- a freelance mage-detective who can find clues others can't see. Using your hand-drawn Rune card, find the hidden evidence and determine who did it and how.

A Rune With A View is a solo game about writing a mystery using real-life locations, photographs, maps, or even art or text to hunt down clues. Use the Rune card to highlight areas or objects and determine how they relate to the case. Use events reconstructed at the scene to get to the bottom of an unsolved crime.

Content Warning: A Rune With A View is about crime which may be of a violent nature. The premise also involves cooperating with a local police force. If these details aren't something you wish to include in your game, you are free to alter the scenario as you see fit. 

This game was conceived earlier this year and written for the One-Page RPG Jam. The core rules are finished, but may be updated with refinements in the future. It may also be updated with other supplements, like a blank "report" template and an example of play.
